The application shall be presented to the Member-State that constitutes the main destiny. In case there is no main destiny, the application shall be presented to the Member-State of the first entry.

Yes: according to article 10 of the Decreto Regulamentar Nº 84/2007, of 5th November, the application must be presented in person, by the applicant, in his/her country of residence or in the country that holds consular jurisdiction over his/her country of residence. Such application must be presented in a proper form, duly signed by the applicant and together with all the necessary documentation.

The adequate type of visa is a residence visa for subordinate work or a temporary stay visa with the same aim. The option will be made according to the length of the stay.

It must be paid a 80,00 € fee for a residence visa application and a 60,00 € fee for a temporary stay visa application.

It must be paid a 65,00 € fee. If for children from 6 to 12 or for nationals of countries with which the EU has celebrated Visa Facilitation Agreements, that fee will only be 35,00 €.

The applicant must go to the Consular Section of the Embassy or to the Portuguese Consulate of His/her area of residence. If there is no Portuguese representation, another Member-State may be representing Portugal exclusively for the emission of Schengen visas.
